We never see your audio, your projects, or your files. The software does not upload, scan, or transmit anything you create, and it collects no analytics or telemetry. The only personal information we hold is what you gave us at checkout.
This policy explains what information Ron Steele, a sole proprietor trading as iDigLabs, collects, why, and what we do with it. It covers this website and our software.
Ron Steele, a sole proprietor trading as iDigLabs. For the purposes of the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, we are the data controller. Contact: idiglabs@gmail.com.
At checkout. Your email address, name, and country. These are collected by Payhip (Payhip Ltd), which processes the transaction on our behalf, in order to calculate applicable tax, issue your license key, and send your receipt and download link. We can see this information in our Payhip dashboard.
Your country is collected because Payhip's tax role depends on it: a marketplace facilitator in the United States, a digital platform operator in Canada, and reseller for value-added tax purposes in the European Union and the United Kingdom. In those capacities Payhip collects and remits the applicable sales tax or VAT rather than us.
Payment details. We never see or store your card number. Payment information is handled entirely by Payhip and their payment processors.
On license activation. Software that requires a license key contacts our licensing provider to confirm the key is valid, sending the key and a machine identifier so the activation can be recorded against your license. This is the only network request our software makes. It carries no information about your work, your projects, or your audio. Free software that requires no key makes no network requests at all.
If you email us. Your email address and whatever you write in the message.
The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc. Netlify records standard server request logs, which include IP addresses, for security and operational purposes.
We do not use analytics, advertising trackers, or tracking cookies on this site.
Two third parties serve content on our pages, and each will see your IP address as a technical necessity of delivering that content:
We use your email address to send your license key, receipt, and download link. That is a transactional message and you cannot opt out of it, because it is how you receive what you asked for.
We may occasionally email you about new products or important updates to software you hold a license for. Every such message includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing never affects your license.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your email address with anyone.
Each is an independent company with its own privacy policy. We do not share your information with anyone beyond what is necessary for these functions.
We are based in the United States. Our payment provider, Payhip, is based in the United Kingdom; our other service providers are US companies. If you are in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, or another region with data transfer restrictions, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. Our providers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards for such transfers.
Transaction and license records are retained for as long as your license is active, and thereafter for the period required by tax and accounting law — generally seven years. Email correspondence is retained for up to three years. Marketing consent records are deleted on unsubscribe.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
To exercise any of these, email idiglabs@gmail.com. We will respond within thirty days. Note that deleting your transaction record may deactivate your license key, since the record is what proves the license is yours.
California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA, and we have not done so in the preceding twelve months. We do not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Our software and store are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Transactions are encrypted in transit by Payhip. This site is served over HTTPS. We hold no payment details, so there is no card data with us to lose. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the amount of information we hold deliberately small.
We may update this policy. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be noted on this page.
